What does carpet cleaning cover in Maryland?

Carpet cleaning in Maryland from Xtreme Cleans is truck-mounted hot water extraction for wall-to-wall carpet and stairs in houses, townhomes, apartments and offices. Every visit follows 4 steps: inspection, pre-treatment with brush agitation, extraction, then grooming, deodorizer and air movers.

Hot water extraction is the method most people call carpet steam cleaning. The wand injects heated water and cleaning solution into the pile, then pulls it back out under vacuum in the same pass, so loosened soil leaves the carpet instead of settling toward the pad. Shaw Floors, a major carpet manufacturer, recommends hot water extraction for professional cleaning.

Inspect the fiber, the traffic lanes, the spots and any pet damage before water touches the carpet.
Pre-treat the soil, then work it loose with a counter-rotating brush (CRB) that scrubs the pile in two directions.
Extract with the truck-mounted unit. The machine stays in the van; only the hoses come inside.
Groom the pile, apply deodorizer and set air movers to speed drying.

The cleaning solutions carry Green Seal GS-37 certification, an independent standard that limits toxicity, volatile organic compounds and non-biodegradable ingredients in cleaning products. How much does carpet cleaning cost in Maryland?

How long does carpet cleaning take, start to dry?

Carpet cleaned by Xtreme Cleans is dry in 2 to 4 hours. The truck-mounted unit recovers most of the rinse water in the same pass, while rental and portable machines typically leave carpet damp for 6 to 12 hours.

Time on site scales with the number of areas and how heavily they are soiled, and arrival is booked as a time window rather than an open day. The drying gap against a rental machine comes from water left behind: a portable unit recovers less of its own rinse, so the pile stays wet for longer.
