Tile and grout cleaning

Grout is porous, so mopping pushes soil into it rather than lifting it out. A dedicated alkaline dwell and a high-pressure rinse pull it back out of the grout line, floor tile or splashback.

What we clean — and what we don’t

Plenty of cleaners will take any booking and work it out on the day. We would rather tell you now, so nobody pays for a call-out that ends in an apology.

Natural and delicate fibres shrink, bleed or crush under a pH 9–10 pre-spray and 220°F water. Rather than risk your furniture, we will say no and point you to a specialist.

How the work is done

Our simple 4-step process

The same four steps on every soft-surface job, residential or commercial.

Pre-inspection

We walk the job with you, identify the fibre, test for colourfastness and point out anything that will not fully come out before we start — not afterwards.

Powerful pre-treatment

An alkaline enzyme pre-spray at pH 9–10 is applied and left to dwell, breaking the bond between the soil and the fibre so the extraction can lift it.

Hot water extraction

Truck-mounted equipment rinses at 220°F and up to 500 PSI with more than 150 inches of vacuum lift, followed by an acid rinse at pH 3–5 so no sticky residue is left to attract new soil.

Final groom and deodorise

The pile is groomed to dry evenly, deodoriser is applied where it is needed, and air movers go down so you are back on the carpet in 2–4 hours.

Common questions

Before you book

How long does carpet take to dry?
Two to four hours in a normally ventilated room. Truck-mounted equipment recovers far more water than a rental machine, which is why hire units commonly leave carpet damp for six to twelve hours.
What does $199 actually cover?
Three areas, all-inclusive — equipment, labour, the rinse chemistry, light furniture moving and drying management. One or two areas, or five and above, are quoted individually; call and we will price it before we come out.
Is there a minimum charge for commercial work?
No. Commercial work is $0.30 per square foot and there is no job minimum, which is unusual — most commercial cleaners set a square-footage floor and do not publish it. A single small suite is still a job we will take.
Can you clean a leather or wool sofa?
No, and we will tell you that on the phone rather than at your door. We clean synthetic fabrics only. Leather, wool, linen, silk, velvet, viscose and rayon need a different process from the one our equipment and chemistry are built for, and a specialist should handle them.
Are the products safe around children and pets?
Yes. The cleaning chemistry is Green Seal GS-37 certified and biodegradable, and the acid rinse at the end removes residue rather than leaving it in the fibre.

Do you clean tile and grout as well as carpet?
Yes. Grout is porous, so mopping tends to move soil around rather than remove it. We use a dedicated alkaline dwell and a high-pressure rinse to bring it out of the grout line, in homes and in commercial premises.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. There are no long-term contracts on either residential or commercial work — we would rather earn the next visit.
